I am so excited to begin a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together! Our classroom will be a place where every student is encouraged to be curious, kind, confident, and ready to try new things. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

Meet the Teacher
Hello and welcome! I’m Ms. Quesada (Ms. Q), and I’m excited to begin my fourth year at St. Chris teaching third grade!
My journey to education began at Florida Memorial University, where I majored in Accounting and began my career in finance and banking. After many years in banking, I discovered my passion for working with children through a school-age daycare. This inspired me to pursue Elementary Education at Western Governors University.
I’m passionate about creating a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to learn and grow. I look forward to a wonderful year together!
Classroom Rules & Expectations
- Be prepared. Arrive on time and ready to learn. Complete assignments to the best of your ability, bring the necessary materials each day, and keep track of homework in your assignment notebook.
- Be respectful. Treat your school, teachers, classmates, and belongings with kindness and care. Our classroom motto: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- Be safe. Keep your hands, feet, and belongings to yourself. Follow classroom rules so that everyone stays safe.
- Do your best. Always give your best effort. Some tasks may feel challenging, but what matters most is that you try!
Specials Schedule
- Monday: Library
- Tuesday: Spanish & P.E.
- Wednesday: No Specials
- Thursday: Spanish & P.E.
- Friday: Art
Mass uniforms must be worn on Wednesdays. (No jeans day passes will be accepted.) Students must wear the St. Chris gym uniform and gym shoes for P.E.
Lunch & Recess
- Lunch: 12:15 P.M. – 12:45 P.M.
- Recess: 12:45 P.M. – 1:05 P.M. (outdoors, weather permitting)
Students should dress appropriately for the weather. On indoor recess days, the gym will be used, and gym shoes are required on the gym floor. To make things easier, students may keep an extra pair of gym shoes at school in their cubby or backpack.
Additional Information
- Check your child’s progress regularly on PowerSchool.
- Class Dojo will be used for daily communication.
- Class Folders:
- Green Folder – goes home daily with homework and important papers. Please check and return any forms that need a signature.
- Blue Folder – goes home on Fridays with graded work. Please sign and return by the next school day.
- Assignment Notebooks/Planners are used every day for homework, reminders, and spelling words.
- Homework: ELA and Math homework are assigned weekly. Homework is due every Friday.
- Please review assignments with your child daily, initial the planner, and return it to school.
- Birthdays & Treats: Due to severe food allergies, all birthday treats must be store-bought, peanut-free, and individually wrapped. Please plan so every child can participate safely.
Grading Scale (as listed in PowerSchool)
- A = 93% – 100%
- B = 85% – 92%
- C = 73% – 84%
- D = 65% – 72%
- F = 64% and below
